Introduction
Seongeosan Mountain was given its name based on the legend that King Taejo, the founder of Goryeo, instructed that a ritual be held for the god residing in this mountain. At the peak of the mountain, there are production sites of Seonghwan pear and Seonggeo and Ipjang geobong grapes. When you follow the ridge extending from the peak to the north, you’ll reach Wiryesanseong Fortress, which was the first capital of Baekje.
